Smetti,

I'm impressed. I just love the look of Limited Series lenses! And the fact they come in so strange focal lengths is great too. How do they perform with the Blade compared to standard Pentax lenses?

I'm still waiting on two new smc pentax lenses, a 50mm 1.4 and zomm 70-210mm f.4 which are supposed to pretty decent.
But from what I have experienced so far, the limited series has a cleaner bokeh and are pretty sharp wide open. Other smc lenses which I have tested tend to have a grainier and more "greyish" bokeh.
The only criticism I have against the limited(mostly the 77mm) is that bokeh highlights can cause some CA in various lighting situations.

I got some new lenses which I wanted to test and a friend was visiting,
so more random shots from my house thrown together with some random music.
No CC added.

Shot with dvx-100/sgblade rotorazor2 with pentax lenses.

Thanks for posting. This demos the bokeh rendition of ROTOrazor 2 really well!

Glad I can still amuse with shots from my house(my most busy location!) Smile

The following lenses were used:

Pentax 31mm limited f.1.8
Pentax 77mm limited f.1.8
Pentax-A smc 70-210mm f.4.0

- Cheers!

Hey guys,

I got premiere working again and gathered some of the random footage I shot with the canon a1/sgblade rotorazor2 setup while I had it.
Unfortunately, it's impossible to edit hdv properly on my computer now, I can only see stillframes of the footage(laggs terrible) and no preview possible.
So I kind of just cut a bit here and there and threw a random song at it afterwards.
Jeez, took me an hour to export a 3 minute clip from the premiere timeline, I want a mac!

Well, it's not very entertaining stuff, but for those who want to see more canon a1 and sgblade rotorazor2 setup, here it is:

- pentax smc limited fa 31mm f. 1.8.
- pentax smc limited fa 77mm f. 1.8.

Smetti,
I am interested in a couple things about this adapter. Having worked with the Letus for two years now...
-What kind of light loss do you experience with this adapter? I am interested in numbers rather than just images.
-How easy/difficult is the adapter to take apart and adjust settings (back focus, motor parts, etc.)?
-What is the battery life or charge life of the adapter?
-Have you had any technical problems with the adapter?

All your footage looks great, and I am very interested in purchasing this adapter for a short I am shooting later this year.
Thanks,
-Jeff
